WHO RUNS IT?

AFL Auskick is an initiative of the Australian Football League. The program is conducted by junior community clubs with assistance from the West Australian Football Development Trust (WAFDT). AFL Auskick clinics are also conducted within primary schools for students in years three to six by WAFL players and Smarter than Smoking Regional Football Development Officers (RDO’s).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Our Auskick program is a little different from the traditional Auskick centres that you may have heard about.

The Auskick program at Bullcreek/Leeming Junior Football Club involves players being organised into teams. Each team has a coach. These teams will train once during the week and will then play a game on a Sunday morning. Team sizes will generally only be of 12 players. The season usually lasts for 15 weeks.

One competition will involve six year olds and the other competition will be held between 7 and 8 year olds.

Games will only be held between Auskick teams within the Bullcreek/Leeming Junior Football Club.

WHEN IS IT HELD?

Training sessions are organised during the week. Traing venue, day and time is up to the discretion of the Coach. The majority of games start around 8am on a Sunday morning at Bullcreek/Leeming's home ground - Beasley Reserve.

During the season there are usually 2 Friday Night Games - that's right, played under lights at Beasley Reserve.

WHERE?

Beasley Reserve, Corner of Beasley Avenue and Karel Avenue, Leeming.

IT MUST COST A LOT?

NO WAY ! There is a small fee TBA to join the club which includes the AFL Auskick Coaching Program, participation awards, insurance coverage and use of equipment. An AFL Auskick pack forms part of your registration and contains a football, CD Rom, Cap, Auskick backpack, posters and other material.
